Lithuanian Agricultural Library is the state institution of culture, education, science and dissemination of information having the status of legal entity. The Library was established in 1969 by the Minitry of Agriculture.
Library collections include documents on the following topics: agriculture (crops, animal husbandry, horticulture and olericulture, apiculture, engineering, buildings, plant protection, economy, statistics, science, education, information, etc); primary processing of agricultural products; food and nutrition; forestry; fishery; veterinary; household; environment protection and natural resources in agriculture; applied biology, botany and zoology.
Library Mission
• to provide access to information resources on agriculture, fishery, forestry and food • to organize highly qualified information service for the library users • to assist, train and educate people based on assessment of their information needs • to participate creating of the national information space • to conserve and provide accessibility to documentary heritage
